b9 goes to Iceland Part 2: The Great Outdoors

The best part about Iceland is the great outdoors. A side effect of being isolated in the North Atlantic is a relatively untouched scenery with all kinds of amazing geology to see and in some cases explore. I was going to do this really in depth, descriptive post on all the amazing things we saw in Iceland, but instead I think I will let the pictures do most of the talking. So enjoy and if you have questions post in the comments section=p

Some of the crew went diving in Iceland!

One of the many National Parks we visited.

An awesome waterfall!

Icelandic Old Faithful!

View from a cliff jutting out of southern Iceland!

Another view of/from the cliff

One of the crew under a waterfall

Group shot

We had to hang over that cliff, but we got a shot of puffins!

Man fearlessly takes on nature

Are we on the moon?

These chaps gave us a lift up on to a glacier and then we got to hike around

They run a tourist dog sledding business

A shot from the glacier

Another glacier shot, you could see the storm coming

This blog does have 24.8% random

Don't go chasing waterfalls

More cliff and glacier

Doing our best explorer pose

Sometimes you have to fight nature, in this case I became a human sunblock so we could surf the nets

The park around the lake in Reykjavik

  1. MG! Wow, those are some great pictures of your trip! I bet it seemed like being on the moon in certain areas there, but those glaciers look amazing! Thanks for sharing.
